The title of this week's leadership lesson on pastoral care is, "Notice Them". As a leader you have the responsibility of leading your ministry, but you are also called to shepherd the people serving on your ministry team. One way to do that is to simply, 'notice them'.
Notice if they are missing. Notice if they excel in their ministry role. Notice if they seem down or discouraged. Notice if they are becoming disconnected from the church body.
Then, follow through by calling them or sending them a note or praying for them on the spot.
Of course, it's important for your team members to have the details of the ministry communicated to them, but it's equally important for them to know that you care about them - as a person. Let's take our pastoral care to the next level by noticing our team members.
