Mindful

I was at Barnes & Noble tonight with the kids, giving my wife a much needed break and a few moments of peace and quiet at home. Ryan grabbed a copy of Scooby Doo, Jeremiah began playing with the Thomas the Train set in the kids section, and Nathan walked around and pulled most of the knee-high stuff off the shelf.

While they were entertaining themselves, I grabbed a book on Starbucks and came across a great quote,
"Being considerate is less about being polite and more about being mindful of
the needs of others while creating a win / win situaiton."

As leaders in God's Church we need to be more than polite. We need to be mindful of the needs of others. Being mindful is a subtle change with huge consequences. When we are mindful we commit to thinking of the other person, putting their needs before our own. Let's be mindful!
